Broadband Internet Connection
It is important that you have a high-speed Internet connection because your Wii console will periodically download updates for its firmware. You will also need a fast connection to play Wii games online.
Wireless Network
A wireless network is the primary way to connect your Wii to the Internet. See the Resources section for a detailed guide on how to set up a wireless connection. You will need your router's password if it has one.
Wii LAN Adapter
If you do not have a wireless network but do have a wired connection, you will need the Wii LAN Adapter to connect your Wii to the Internet. It is a USB adapter that plugs into the back of your console, and allows you to connect an Ethernet cable.
