Instructions
Connect the rectangular black plug of the RF Modulator to the "AV Out" port on the back of your Nintendo Wii. RF modulators for older Nintendo consoles can be found in secondhand stores or purchased online.
Disconnect the aerial from the "Coax" plug of your television and replace it with the round coaxial plug from your RF Modulator. Connect the aerial to the round plug in the top of the Modulator's gray box.
Fasten the Wii's black Sensor Bar to the top or bottom of the television screen and plug the attached wire into the D-shaped "Sensor Bar" port at the back of the console.
Turn on your Nintendo Wii and television. Tune to the channel you wish to use for Wii games.
Open your television's "Tuning" menu and select the automatic-scanning option, usually called "Auto Scan" or "Program." Scan through the channels until you find the signal for your Nintendo Wii.
Press "Save" or "Store" to set the channel as the default for your Wii.
Open the Wii's Setup menu by selecting the "Wii" icon at the lower left corner of the screen. Choose "Screen" and enter the "Widescreen Settings" menu. Select "Standard (4:3)" to set the console to display images in the right dimensions for your older set, then finalize the selection by choosing "Confirm."
