How to Play Movies Over a Network on a Wii Using the Homebrew Channel

Playing movies over a network on your Wii makes watching videos, viewing pictures, and playing music a much easier task. It lets you stream video without having to take the time to load videos and files through a USB drive or SD card. Use your computer directory to connect to Media Player Ce through your Wii to successfully stream data as you would like.

      On your computer, open the Media Player CE folder and find the "smb.conf" configuration text file. Click on the text file to open it, and look for the section of code below and change it to the following values:

      #Samba share1 (smb1:/)

      ip1=192.168.0.3

      share1=Media

      user1=0

      pass1=0

      After the configurations have been changed, save the text file, load the Media Player CE on your SD card, and insert it into your Wii. The Homebrew Channel will load the applications you have on the SD card.
