Things You'll Need
Instructions
Navigate to the Mplayer CE website and click on "MPlayer CE r590" to save Media Player CE to your computer. Go to the Homebrew Channel on your Wii and select the channel. Once the channel is opened, choose "Start" to launch the Channel.
On your computer, open the Media Player CE folder and find the "smb.conf" configuration text file. Click on the text file to open it, and look for the section of code below and change it to the following values:
#Samba share1 (smb1:/)
ip1=192.168.0.3
share1=Media
user1=0
pass1=0
After the configurations have been changed, save the text file, load the Media Player CE on your SD card, and insert it into your Wii. The Homebrew Channel will load the applications you have on the SD card.
Choose the "Media Player CE" program and select "Load." Go to "Open," and "File." Click on "FTP share 1" and choose "Okay." You can now play movies, listen to music, and view pictures by sharing your computer directory with Media Player CE over a shared network using the Homebrew Channel.
