Instructions
Open the computer's Web browser and navigate to the website that provides users with the latest update for their modchip. Download the update ISO.
Navigate to a website that offers the filechop program for download. Download the program. Filechop comes packaged with most modchip configuration disks and is the only program that will work to buff the update file in this process.
Right-click on the computer's desktop and select the "New Folder" option.
Place the update ISO you downloaded in Step 1 and filechop.exe file you downloaded in Step 2 into the new folder.
Create a new text file with Windows' default text editor. Paste "filechop.exe 'imagename' 1459978240" into the text window. Replace 'imagename' with the name of the update file. For example "filechop.exe update.iso 1459978240."
Click the "File" tab and select the "Save" option.
Click on the .txt file twice to activate the computer's name change feature. Delete the ".txt" extension and replace it with a ".bat" extension.
Double-click on the new .bat file to buff the update ISO to 1.3GB.
Insert a blank DVD-R into the computer's disk drive. Use a program such as Nero, Roxio or Imgburn to burn the update ISO to to blank DVD-R.
Insert the new update disk into the Wii's disk drive. Run the update. Allow several minutes for the update to finish.
