How to Stream My MPlayer to My Wii

Get a better listening experience with MPlayer on your computer, no matter which major operating system you have. (The major operating systems include Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.) To stream from your computer through your Wii and into your television you will need MPlayer. By using the MPlayer you can turn up the music without all of the distortion from your computer speakers.

Set Up Wii

  Connect your Wii to your PC using a RGB or DVI cable.

  Connect your Wii console to the Internet.

  Purchase the Opera Web Browser from $5 from the Wii Internet Channel. To get to the Wii Internet Channel go to the Wii menu and select the Wii Shop Channel, which will take you to the Wii Internet Channel.
Set Up Computer

  Download, for free, Wiisic. Start the program.

  Choose your music folder and hit the "Launch Server" button.

  Leave Wiisic running. Click on the IP address that appears.
