The Wii from Nintendo is a video game system consisting of a game console, wireless controllers and a sensor bar. Users create a "Mii," a caricature that will represent the user in games and other Wii software activities.

    • The Wii console measures 8.5 inches high by 5.9 inches long by 2.0 inches wide. It weighs approximately 4.4 pounds (lbs.). Packaged, the box is 15 inches high by 10 inches long by 4.5 inches wide and weighs 7.5 lbs.

    Features

    • In addition to games, Wii allows users to surf the web and enjoy channels of information. Games are played with the users' Mii on screen mimicking the movements of the player wielding the controller. The channels, which are accessible via the Internet, include news, weather, shopping, polls, a message board and a photo channel where you can load digital photos to play on the TV. Wii is also compatible with Nintendo GameCube games.

    • The main feature of the Wii are the games the system offers. Wii consoles are packaged with Wii Sports, a compilation of games including tennis, bowling, golf and baseball. Other popular titles include NHL Slapshot, Batman: Brave and the Bold, Call of Duty, Snowboarding and Wii Fit, which requires the purchase of an additional piece of hardware.
