Instructions
Placing the Wii Console
Place the Wii console in a vertical or horizontal position in your home theater. Make sure the location allows for free airflow around the system at all times. To place the console horizontally, set the console with the disc slot oriented to the top edge of the console face and continue to Section 2. If you wish to place the console vertically, proceed to the next step.
Insert the tabs on the clear Wii stand bottom plate into the slots on the included Wii stand. Slide the plate toward the back end of the stand to firmly attach the plate.
Insert the console into the vertical stand, placing the system so that the word "Wii" is right-side up next to the "Eject" button. Press the console straight down into the stand to properly secure it.
AV Connection/Power Supply
Insert the gray connector on the AV cable into the "AV Multi Out" port on the back of the Wii console.
Plug the red, white and yellow AV cable connectors into the color-coded video and audio input ports on the back of your television.
Insert the DC connector plug on the Wii power cord into the "12V In" port on the back of the console.
Plug the power cord into a wall outlet, making sure the blades on the power cord correctly match the wall outlet.
Sensor Bar Setup
Plug the sensor bar connector plug into the orange port on the back of the Wii console.
Remove the film covering the foam pads on the bottom of the sensor bar.
Place the bar in a position above or below your television. Make sure the sensor bar is stable when choosing a location, and that nothing blocks the front of the bar. If extra support is needed, double-sided adhesive pads are included with the Wii and can be placed on the bottom of the sensor bar to secure it.
Wii Remote Setup
Turn on your TV and tune to the correct channel for video input. Turn on the Wii console.
Slide the switch labeled "Lock" on the back of the Wii Motion Plus accessory attached to the Wii Remote. Press and hold the two release buttons on the sides of the Motion Plus attachment and pull downward the remove the accessory.
Pull the Wii remote wrist strap out of the remote jacket. Gently pull the Wii remote out of the jacket.
Open the battery compartment on the back of the Wii remote. Insert two AA batteries into the remote.
Press the "Sync" button inside the Wii remote battery compartment. The lights on the remote will blink.
Open the compartment door on the front of the Wii console, located between the "Reset" and "Eject" button. Press the red "Sync" button inside the compartment. Once the console and Wii remote are synchronized, the lights will stop blinking on the remote. Close the compartment door on the Wii and replace the battery cover on the remote.
Reinsert the Wii remote into the jacket and reconnect the Motion Plus accessory to the end of the Wii remote, making sure the Wii wrist strap is threaded through the hole in the jacket. Slide the switch on the back of the attachment to "Lock" to secure the Wii Motion Plus accessory. The Wii console and remote are now ready for play.
