How to Send Wii Points to a Friend

Nintendo Wii Points are a virtual currency used to purchase classic games and downloadable content from the Wii Shop Channel. You can purchase points in the store with a credit card or at certain retailers at a rate of 100 points to the dollar. Unfortunately there is no way to send the points themselves to a friend, however, Nintendo has implemented a "gift" system by which you can send content you purchased to a friend. The effect is equal to sending someone a birthday present instead of sending money to buy his own.
