How to Save a Wii Game Disc

As a family console, children often have access to the Nintendo Wii and its discs. However, children are notorious for losing or scratching CDs. You can save your Wii game discs by backing them up and saving them using a program called Raw Dump. This program is the only one of its kind which can properly copy the data on a Wii game disc and successfully transfer it to your computer.

  Download and install Raw Dump 2.0.

  Press the "Eject" button on your computer disc drive tray. Take the Wii game disc and position it into the tray. Press the "Eject" button again to close the disc drive tray.

  Double click the icon on your desktop for Raw Dump 2.0.

  Click "Start Dump." This begins extracting the contents of the disc inside the computer and saves it to your computer. This process will take several hours. Do not touch the computer until it completes, or the raw dump may go bad. Note where Raw Dump says it will place the completed file.

  Navigate to the folder where Raw Dump says it placed the completed file. Right-click the file and check the file size. Delete the file and restart the process if this number is anything other than 4.37 GB or 4,699,979,766 bytes.
