How to Run Wii ISO Copies

An ISO is an image file also known as a disc image. Wii ISOs are back-up copies of Wii games. Running these files on a Nintendo Wii requires a modified Wii console. Running the ISO is as simple as transferring the file to a medium and putting it on the Wii.

Things You'll Need

  • Wii with Home Brew Channel
  • ISO on SD card or DVD
  • Wiimote

Instructions

    • 1

      Place the transfer medium, which is either the DVD or the SD card, into the Nintendo Wii.

      Power on the Wii. From the main menu, highlight the Home Brew Channel using the Wiimote and select it by pressing "A."

      Highlight either DVD or SD card, depending on which one you used, and open it by pressing "A."

    • 4

      Choose the ISO file by highlighting it with Wiimote and pressing "A" to select it. Now the game will load up for you to play.
