How to Hook Up Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Dance Party for Wii

"Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Dance Party" is a popular dance video game published by Konami for the Nintendo Wii game console. The game challenges players to dance to dozens of popular beats using the game's dance mat controller (also called a "dance pad"). Unlike the standard wireless Nintendo Wii controller, the dance mat can only be connected using one of the Wii's wired controller ports.

  Make sure that the Nintendo Wii is turned off.

  Open the data port cover on the Nintendo Wii. This cover is the largest external cover on the system. Opening the cover will reveal four controller inputs.

  Insert the controller input side of the dance mat into one of the four controller inputs.

  Turn on the Nintendo Wii. If the dance mat was properly connected to the Wii, the Wii will automatically detect it, and the dance mat can be immediately used to play "Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Dance Party."
