How to Load Wii Backup Without a Modchip

As a Wii user, you have the option to backup games with an SD card. Since your gaming system does not have much room in terms of memory, you will have to save some of your favorite games to an SD card, especially if you download a high number of games. However, you have the capability to load your Wii backups directly from your SD card.

Instructions

  Open the compartment that holds your SD card. Place your SD card into the compartment, pushing in until the card clicks.

  Turn on your Wii. Select the Wii icon in the lower left corner of the home screen, and proceed to choose "Data Management" from the subsequent menu.

  Click "Wii Channels" with your controller. Scroll through the channels you see until you find the title you want to back up. Select that title and choose "Move" to transfer it to your SD card.

  Put the SD card into your system and turn on your Wii.

  Click the "SD" icon on your Wii. This brings up a screen that resembles your Wii home menu, but this menu consists of a dark background.

  Press the "+" and "-"buttons on your controller to proceed from screen to screen. Choose the game that you desire to play, and then choose "Run."
