How to Copy Files to a Wireless Wii

The Nintendo Wii, much like other seventh-generation home gaming consoles, has the ability to accept files from other storage devices, such as USB flash drives. In the case of the Wii, SD cards can be inserted into the console to copy game files. These files can then be used by the Wii for games or wireless online play. If you have an SD card with these kinds of files, copying them is an easy procedure.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert your SD card into the card slot on the front of the console.

    • 2

Turn your Wii on. Select the Wii icon on the bottom left corner of the screen to open the "Wii Settings" menu.

    • 3

Select the "Data Management" option, then select the "Save Data" option, and choose the "Wii" option to move to the Wii's memory menu.

    • 4

Select the "SD Card" option to open a list of the files on your SD Card.

    • 5

Select the file you wish to copy, select the "Copy" option, then select "Yes" to transfer the file to your Wii's hard drive.
