How to Add Controllers for a Wii NHL 2K9

NHL 2K9 for the Wii is a multiplayer hockey simulation game that allows up to 4 players to play simultaneously. The game allows players to choose from a "Wii remote and nunchuk" controller setting that mimics the use of a hockey stick, or a more traditional controller scheme using a GameCube controller or classic controller. Setting up NHL 2K9 to work with multiple controllers should only take a few minutes of your time.

Instructions

  Power up your Nintendo Wii and insert the NHL 2K9 disc into the disc slot.

  Sync up any Wii controllers you want to use to the Wii system before starting up your game. Sync controllers by removing the battery cover on the back of the Wii remote and pressing the small red "Sync" button located behind the cover. Then press the red "Sync" button on the front face of the Wii console.

  Insert any GameCube controllers you want to use into the controller ports located at the top of the Wii console.

  Select the "NHL 2K9" icon from the Wii system menu to start your game. Once the game has loaded, select "Multiplayer" to begin using the extra controllers you connected to the system.
