How to Hook Up Instruments on Rock Band 2 for Wii

"Rock Band 2" for the Nintendo Wii comes with a guitar, microphone and drum pad. You can plug in an additional guitar or microphone if desired. Two types of guitars exist: the Wii mote type and the plug-in type. The Wii mote type allows the guitar to function wirelessly. Only use the "Rock Band" instruments made for the Wii; other console instruments won̵7;t work. You don̵7;t need to hook up all the instruments to play the game.

     Remove the guitar from its box. Connect the neck piece to the end of the guitar. Fasten the strap over the guitar. Put a Wii mote into the rectangular opening in the bottom part of the guitar. If it has a cord, plug the cord into the top of the Wii.

     Unwrap the cord from the microphone. Plug it into the USB port on the Wii.

     Assemble the drum kit. Plug the cord for the drum kit into the other USB port.
