Wii Backup Player Options

The Wii Backup Player has several options for users who are playing their own Wii backups. The loader gives users a great deal of control over how their games will play.
  1. Launch Game

    • Contrary to the title of the selection, "Launch Game" doesn't actually start a Wii backup. Press "A" on this selection to run a diagnostics test on your backup to see if it is in proper working order.

    Config Options

    • Pressing "A" on this selection will take you to a generic options screen. At this point, you can change several options from "No" to "Yes" or vice versa: "Boot Lang," "Force PAL60," "Force NTSC," "Force PAL50," "VIDTV Patch," "Hook Type" and "Ocarina On." The default settings work as they are, but tinkering is allowed.

    Rebooter Options

    • Selecting this option brings you to a standard options screen. The default settings work, but you can switch any "No" to "Yes," and vice versa. The options are as follows: "Recovery Mode," "Region Free," "Remove Copy Flags" and "Button Skip."

    About

    • Pressing "A" on "About" takes you to the credits for the developers behind the Wii Backup Player.

    Exit OS

    • Selecting this option will return you to the Wii Menu.

    Press B to Launch Rebooter

    • If you follow the notice at the bottom of the screen and press the "A" button, the rebooter will launch, allowing you to play your backup Wii game.
