How to Replace a Damaged Wii Nintendo Disc

The playing surface of game discs can be quite fragile. If a scratch or mark is incurred, the disc may become partially or fully unreadable, rendering your game unplayable. If you recently purchased a Nintendo game for the Wii and it was scratched or unplayable when you go it, you can send it in for a replacement disc free of charge. This is only applicable to Nintendo published games that were purchased within the last 90 days.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine who published your game by checking the bottom right corner on the front of the game box. The publisher's logo will appear there.

    • 2

Contact Nintendo at (800) 255-3700 if the game was published by Nintendo. If the game was published by a third party publisher, contact that publisher for information on whether or not they have a disc replacement program.

    • 3

Provide proof of purchase in the form of a receipt. Nintendo will only replace damaged discs that were bought new and that have proof of purchase.
