How to Send Messages on the Wii

Nintendo Wii users have access to many online features, including messaging. Email messages can be both composed and read from the message board. To message anyone on Wii, they must be registered as your friend or listed in your Wii contacts. Messages from the Wii Message Board can be sent to other Wii console users or to a regular email address that is accessible by computer or mobile phone.

Instructions

  Power on the console to view the Wii Channel menu.

  Select the "Wii Message Board" icon with the Wii remote.

  Select the "Create Message" icon.

  Click on the "Message" icon.

  Move the cursor up and down to highlight a Wii friend to email. Select that friend with the "A" button.

  Move the cursor over the text area and hit the "A" button on the remote to open the on-screen keyboard.

  Type the email message for each portion of the email by moving the cursor over the desired letter, number or symbol and select it with the "A" button.

  Hit "Send" to send the message.
