How to Activate the Second Player in Call of Duty for the Wii

The Nintendo Wii version of "Call of Duty: World at War" allows one or two players to play first-person re-enactments of famous battles from the European campaign in World War II. If you want to bring in a second player to play the game in two-player mode on one console, you can select this option from the main menu. Alternative, you can add a second player over the Internet, allowing them to play on their own machine.

Instructions

  1. Local Multiplayer

    • 1

Hold the "1" and "2" buttons on the WiiMote you want to use for Player 1 while the title screen of "Call of Duty: World at War" is displayed.

    • 2

Repeat the process for the second WiiMote. One WiiMote should now have the blue "1" LED lit, and another the "2" LED.

    • 3

Select "Campaign" with the Player 1 WiiMote. Use this WiiMote to select "2 Player" to register Player 2.

    Internet Play

    • 4

Select "Multiplayer" from the main menu of "Call of Duty: World at War."

    • 5

Choose "Host," then have the second player choose "Private Match."

    • 6

Have your friend select "Private Match," then choose your hosted game. As soon as your friend selects the match you are hosting, they will be added to this match.
