How to Set Up Players on a Wii

Long gone are the days when you only had Mario and Luigi to choose from as a Nintendo character to play. Most video games now let you create your own characters, from online gaming to Sony's PlayStation to Microsoft's Xbox and, of course, Nintendo's Wii. The fun in making the characters, called Miis for the Wii system, is to make it look as much like yourself as possible. Some people even choose to create Miis resembling their favorite celebrity, with many online sites devoted to showing how to do just that.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the Mii Channel of the main screen of the gaming system by hovering the Wii Remote pointer over it and pressing the "A" button. Choose to make the Mii male or female in the same manner.

    • 2

Press "A" to select each characteristic shown on the icons at the top of the screen to choose individual features--hair and face, including colors and tones. Select each icon the same way and use the arrows on screen to scroll through each feature, pressing "A" when the correct feature is highlighted.

    • 3

Choose any accessories, such as a mustache, beauty mark or glasses, to put on the Mii by highlighting the one you want and press "A."

    • 4

Decide the body type and shape for the Mii being created. Click the body icon with the "A" button and scroll side to side until you have found the height and weight best suited for your Mii.

    • 5

Choose the clothes and the color of the Mii the same way you chose the other features, besides body type. When satisfied, press "A."

    • 6

Select "Quit." On the next screen, use the Wii Remote to choose the name for the Mii, selecting each letter in sequence with the cursor. Select "OK."

    • 7

Allow the Mii to mingle when asked by selecting the affirmative with "A." This step lets the player do more with the Mii when ready to play a game.
