Power on your Nintendo Wii. With the Wii remote in hand, move your cursor to the white "Wii" button located at the bottom left of the home screen, and then press "A."
Select "Wii Settings" to display the "Wii System Settings" menu. Select the arrow to the right of the screen in order to display the second page of the menu. Finally, select "Internet."
Select "Connection 1" (if Connection 1 does not have the word "None" next to it, select the "Connection 1" button and select "Clear Settings"). Choose "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point." Finally, click "OK" when the console alerts you to choose the access point you want to connect to.
Select your wireless network (if your wireless network is secure you will need to enter the security key). Choose "OK," then "Save Settings," and finally "Yes." The Wii will test your Internet connection to ensure it can properly connect to your wireless network. Once the test is finished successfully, your Wii will check to see if there is a new system update available. If there is, you will prompted to download it. Select "Yes" and "I Accept" to download the update.
Select the white "Wii" button in the bottom left of the home screen once more. Choose "Wii Settings" and then "Internet." Click "User Agreement" and select "I Agree" to place your Nintendo Wii online.
