Instructions
Install the Home Brew Channel
Insert the SD memory card into the memory card reader on the computer.
Download the following files to your desktop from the resources section: Twilight Hack and Home Brew Channel Installer.
Double-Click on the SD card icon to open the "Explorer" window.
Double-Click on the Home Brew Channel Installer ZIP file.
Drag the "boot.elf" and "wiiload" files into the SD card explorer window to copy them. Close the ZIP folder window.
Double-Click on the Twilight Hack ZIP file.
Drag the "private" folder from the ZIP file onto the SD card.
Insert the SD card and the Twilight Princess game disc into the Wii and turn on the console.
Click on the "Wii" symbol on the main menu to open the "Options" screen.
Click on "Data Management," "Save Data," then "Wii."
Select "SD Card" from the available tabs.
Click on the "Twilight Hack" icon the corresponds to your country or region.
Click "Copy" and choose "Yes."
Navigate to the main menu and click on the Twilight Princess to load the game.
Select "TwilightHack0," press "A" then select "Start" and push "A" to load the game.
Walk up to the first available character and press "A" to speak to him. This launches the installation program. At this point the screen goes black and the program begins to load.
Push "1" to accept the terms and conditions on each screen and advance the installation process.
SoftMod for USB or Disc Backups
Insert the SD memory card into the memory card reader on the computer.
Download the following files from the resources section to your desktop: CoverFloader-v1.0, cIOS36_rev10-Installer and WAD Manager v1.4.
Download IOS36-64-v1042 (see References) if your Wii is not connected to the Internet. Drag the contents of this ZIP file to the root of the SD card to enable the files.
Double-Click on the SD memory card icon to open the "Explorer" window.
Double-Click on the CoverFloader-v1.0 icon to open the ZIP file.
Drag the "CoverFloader1.0-fowarder.wad" file in the ZIP folder to the "wad" folder on the SD card.
Drag the "CoverFloader" folder in the ZIP folder to the "apps" folder on the SD card. Close the CoverFloader ZIP folder window.
Open the "apps" folder on the SD card, right-click, select "New Folder," and name the folder "cIOS36rev10."
Double-Click on the cIOS36_rev10-Installer icon on the desktop to open the ZIP file.
Drag the "cIOS36_rev10-Installer.dol" file into the new folder on the SD card.
Press "F2" to rename the "cIOS36_rev10-Installer.dol" file to "boot.dol" to make it a Wii executable file.
Return to the "apps" folder on the SD card, right-click, select "New Folder," and name the folder "WADManager1.4."
Double-Click on the WAD Manager v1.4 icon on the desktop to open the ZIP file.
Drag the "WAD-Manager_v1.4.dol" file from the ZIP folder to the "WADManager1.4" folder on the SD card.
Press "F2" to rename the "WAD-Manager_v1.4.dol" file to "boot.dol" to make it a Wii executable file.
Eject the SD card from the computer and insert it into the Wii console.
Turn on the Wii console and navigate to the main menu.
Select the "Home Brew Channel" from the main menu, press "A" then click "Start" to launch.
Select the "apps/cIOS36rev10/boot" option and click "A" to launch the program. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Restart the Wii console after the installation is complete.
Navigate to the main menu and launch the "Home Brew Channel."
Select the "apps/WADManager1.4/boot" option to launch the installer. Select "cIOS36" when prompted for the desired "cIOS" and select the CoverFloader program for installation.
Restart the Wii console once the installation is complete.
Insert a burned backup disc and navigate to the "Backup Loader Channel" icon on the main menu and press "A" to load the backup disc.
Using the USB Drive for Game Storage
Insert the SD memory card into the memory card reader on the computer.
Download and install the WBFS Manager program (see Resources).
Launch the WBFS Manager program from the desktop shortcut or Start menu.
Enter the drive letter of the USB flash drive and press the "Format" button to create the Wii file structure on the flash drive.
Browse to the Wii game's ISO file and press "Start" to transfer the backup copy to the USB drive. ISO is the standard file type used in backup downloads and by software that allows users to create a backup of their original discs.
Insert the USB drive into the Wii and select CoverFloader from the main menu.
Select the game from the USB drive and press "A" to load the game and begin playing.
