How to Play Pitfall on Wii

Highlight "Wii Shop Channel" from the Wii menu and press the "A" button. Highlight "Start Shopping" from the "Wii Shopping Channel" menu and press "A."

Highlight "Add Wii Points" and press the "A" button. Highlight "Redeem Nintendo Points Card" if you wish to use a retail Nintendo Wii Points card or "Buy Wii Points with a Credit Card" if you wish to use a major credit card to purchase points. Press "A" to proceed to the purchase menu.

Enter the required information into the text fields and press "A." For Wii Points cards, enter the number found on the back of the card. For credit cards, select the number of points you wish to purchase and enter your credit card information, including card number and billing address. Press "A" to confirm text entry. Confirm your Wii Points purchase by highlighting "Yes" and pressing "A" on the confirmation screen. The points will be added to your account.

Highlight "OK" on the Wii Points receipt screen to return to the "Wii Shop Channel" screen. Highlight "Virtual Console" and press "A" to access classic games such as "Pitfall."

Highlight "Search by Game Title" and press "A." Type in "Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure" and press "A" to search for the title. Highlight "Pitfall" from the search results and press "A" to access the game's page. Highlight "Download" and press "A."

Highlight the location you wish to download the game to and press the "A" button. Virtual Console games can be downloaded to the Wii system memory or an SD card inserted in the console. Confirm the purchase by highlighting "OK" and pressing "A." On the download confirmation screen, confirm that you would like the download the game by pressing "A." The Wii console will download the game wirelessly. Once the title has been downloaded, press "A" to return to the "Wii Shop" menu.

Highlight "Wii Menu" and press "A" to return to the main console menu. Highlight "Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure" from the Wii menu and press the "A" button to access the game menu. Select "Start" to play the game, which consists of guiding the main character, Harry Jr., as he works to save his father, jumping across platforms and using a whip to protect himself from danger. Press the "Home" button on the Wii remote and select "Operations Guide" to access specific controls for the Wii controller.
