How to Make One of Your Wii Games Into a Channel

The Nintendo Wii's main menu has a number of options called "channels," including several preset channels. Some of these presets include the Disc Channel, where users access whatever disc is currently in the Wii, and the Wii Shopping Channel, which allows users to purchase games and download software on the Wii. Adding a game as a channel on your Wii can only be done if all the data necessary for gameplay is stored in the Wii itself, so the only way to add a game as a channel is to download it directly to the console.

     Access the Wii Shopping Channel from your Wii Menu.

     Download a game from any number of options. Nintendo offers a number of classic games from past systems as well as current games for download.

     Return to the Wii Menu when the download is complete. The new title will appear as a channel in the Wii Menu.
