How to Play a Wii ISO on an Unmodded Wii

It is a common misconception that it is possible to play Wii ISOs on an unmodded Wii. The truth of the matter is that it is possible to play them on a ̶0;soft modded̶1; Wii. A soft mod is a simple enhancement to the Wii from a program known as the ̶0;Twilight Hack.̶1; The ̶0;Twilight Hack̶1; opens a new channel on the Wii menu known as the ̶0;Homebrew Channel,̶1; which allows you to play ISOs that are not on Wii discs.

Things You'll Need

Twilight Hack installed on your Wii
SD card and reader
Wii game ISO

Instructions

  Download the HackMii Installer. Make sure to save it to a location on your computer that you can find easily. Save the HackMii installer to an SD card to transfer it to your Wii.

  Launch the HackMii installer on the Wii and follow the on-screen instructions. The installer should only take one or two minutes to install completely.

  Transfer the ISO for the Wii game that you want to the SD card. Insert the SD card in the Wii, and open it from the Homebrew channel.

  Play the game through the Homebrew channel.
