How to Erase the Parental PIN on a Wii

The Nintendo Wii has a unique parent control system that allows parents to block games over a certain game rating. For example, a parent can set the system to block every Mature rate game that goes into the system. The parents can still play these games by entering a PIN number. If for any reason the PIN needs to be changed or erased, those changes are made through the Wii system menu.

     Go to the System Menu located on the lower left hand corner of the screen and click the right arrow.

     Select "Parental Controls," then "Yes."

     Enter the current PIN number.

   • 4

     Select "Highest Game Rating Allowed" then "Allow all video game content." This allows all games to play and effectively erases the use of the PIN.
