How to Sync Multiple Wii Remotes

The Nintendo Wii video game console requires gamers to use wireless Wii remotes in order to play games on the system. Gamers can connect multiple Wii remotes to the same system in order to allow more than one person to play games together. In order for these remotes to work, gamers first need to "sync," or wirelessly connect, the Wii remotes to the Nintendo Wii system.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the Nintendo Wii console.

    • 2

Remove the battery cover from the back of each Wii remote that you want to connect to the system. This comes off by pressing down on the latch on the back of the controller.

    • 3

Open the SD Card Slot on the front of the Nintendo Wii. This slot is adjacent to the Nintendo Wii disc slot.

    • 4

Press and immediately release the round, red "SYNC" button, which is located inside the SD Card Slot on the Nintendo Wii.

    • 5

Press and immediately release the red "SYNC" button located underneath the battery cover of each of the Wii remotes that you want to connect. The Wii remotes will immediately sync with the Nintendo Wii console. The process is complete once the blue LED lights on the Wii remotes stop blinking.
