Instructions
Identify the Problem
Write down the error code your Wii displays for why it can't connect.
Go to Nintendo's website and look up the error code. This will give you the reason for the connection failure. More often than not, it's something that you can fix yourself, such as changing the network key, or it's a temporary interruption in service.
Call customer service if it's not an issue you can resolve (like a network key error, or a signal range error) or if all your efforts fail. Nintendo tech support will be able to help you restore your wireless connection.
Network Key Problems
Find out what your network key is. If you don't know or have forgotten, you'll need to reset your router and set a new network key.
Select the "Wii" button on the main screen of your Wii. Go to "Wii Settings" on the next screen.
Hit the right arrow and choose the "Internet" option on that screen.
Select "Connection 1." If you already have a connection set up, choose "Change Settings." If you don't, select "Wireless" then "Search for an Access Point." Select your network from the list.
Type in your network key. This is the personal password you've chosen for your home network.
Save the settings and test the connection. If the connection fails, write down the error code for why it did so.
