How to Transfer Miis

Creating a Mii is likely to be among the first things a new Wii owner is going to do. Creating a Mii avatar in your likeness--or making one which is completely fanciful--is quick, easy and enjoyable. Once you've taken the time to create your Mii, you might want to show it off to your friends, on their own Wii consoles. This guide will tell you how to transfer your Mii from your own console to a friend's.

Things You'll Need

  • Nintendo Wii
  • Wiimote
  • A Mii

Instructions

  1. Storing a Mii to a Wiimote

    • 1

Open the 'Mii Channel' from the start up menu.

    • 2

Point your Wiimote over the Wiimote icon, and press 'A'.

    • 3

Choose which Wiimote you wish to store a Mii to. This will cause a number of slots to appear at the top of the screen.

    • 4

Point at the Mii you wish to store to the remote, and press 'A' and 'B' simultaneously. This will pick up the Mii. Drag the Mii to an open slot and let go of both buttons.

    Transferring the Mii

    • 5

Take your Wiimote with the Mii stored on it to a friend's house, and synchronise it with his or her Wii. This can be done by pressing '1' and '2' simultaneously whilst the Wii is on.

    • 6

Open the 'Mii Channel' in the main menu, as you did before with your own console.

    • 7

Go to the 'Mii Parade' mode in the 'Mii Plaza', by clicking the 'Mii Parade' symbol. This symbol looks like three people holding hands.

    • 8

Pick up your Mii once it walks across the screen, again by hovering the cursor over the Mii and pressing 'A' and 'B' at the same time.

    • 9

Drop the Mii on the 'Transfer to Mii Plaza' icon. This looks like a smiley face, with an upward pointing arrow.
