How to Connect Wii to HD

The Wii has proven to be one of the easiest consoles to use for new players. However, with the increasing popularity of high end HDTVs with their 1080p resolution, Wii owners were at a loss on how to connect the console with their new televisions. Fortunately, Nintendo created a cable that connects the Wii to HDTVs despite the console's limited output resolution.

Instructions

     Make sure both the Wii and HDTV are off.

     Plug the RCA cables into the back of the HDTV. The red and white audio cables go into their respective colored slots as will the green, blue and red progressive video cables.

   • 3

     Plug the other end into the component output on the back of the Wii console.

   • 4

     Turn on the Wii and the HDTV to confirm proper connection.
