How to Connect the Wii to Verizon National Broadband Internet
If you do not know the SSID or the WEP key of your router, go to your computer and type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of Internet Explorer. This will open up the router's settings. Enter the router's default user name and password, which are ̶0;admin̶1; and ̶0;password,̶1; respectively. Select wireless settings. The SSID and WEP key will be listed there. Write them down.
Make sure the Wii is plugged in and turned on. Open the Wii's main menu by clicking the Wii button in the lower left corner. Click on ̶0;Wii Settings̶1;. Go to the next screen by clicking on the arrow to the right and clicking on the ̶0;Internet̶1; button. Find the Internet by clicking on ̶0;Search for an Access Point.̶1; A list of networks will populate. Find the SSID on the list that matches the one you copied from the router settings.
If asked to enter a WEP key or passcode, enter the WEP key you copied from the router's settings in step 1. Select the type of encryption. This will let your Wii connect to your network. Click ̶0;Confirm̶1; and then ̶0;Save̶1; to save your settings. Click ̶0;OK.̶1;
You will be prompted to click ̶0;OK̶1; again. After doing so, the Wii will begin an automatic connection test. Once complete, you should be online with your Wii.
