The Wii console can't link to the iPod directly. However, an iPod and a Wii can share files. In order to complete the transfer of media and data, you need a Mac computer. The Wii won't recognize the iPod USB cable, but the Wii and the Mac can be connected. The Mac recognizes the iPod as well and thus is necessary for iPod-to-Wii use. According to Apple, you can "share your movies, music, and pictures directly to your Nintendo Wii using the Internet Channel. Copy Miis from your Wii back to your Mac and save them as images."
