How to Connect a Wii to a DSL Modem

The Nintendo Wii video game console does not support Ethernet connections out of the box. To directly connect the Wii to your DSL modem and to the Internet, you will need to use a Wii LAN Adapter, which is sold separately. The adapter is a small, USB device that allows you to used a wired Internet connection--either DSL or cable with no router--to connect to WiConnect 24 and Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection.
