How to Play WiiWare From an SD Card

The Nintendo Wii comes equipped with internal memory storage and a standard SD card slot. With an SD card, you can save save game information and transfer media, such as MP3s, photos, Wiiware, Wii Channels and Virtual Console games. To play Wiiware from an SD card, you will need the Wii Menu 4.0 update or higher.

Instructions

      Insert your SD card into your Wii SD card slot. The card slot is located on the front of the console.

      Turn on your Wii. It will load to the Wii Menu screen.

      Navigate to the bottom-left corner of the screen with your Wii remote and press the "A" button to select "SD Card Menu." The SD Card Menu will load.

      Locate the Wiiware game you want to play. Navigate to it using your Wii remote and press the "A" button to enter its Start screen. The Start screen will load.

      Select the "Start" button on the Start screen to begin the game.
