Things You'll Need
Instructions
Online
Save images and designs you want to use on the Wii skin to your computer desktop. Upload the images from a camera, scan them in to your computer or download them from websites.
Go to a console skinning website such as Skin It, Left Skins and Music Skins. Click on “Design Your Own Skin.” Choose the Wii as your console.
Click “Upload” and choose your image files you saved onto your computer. Drag the image around the screen to position it on your Wii console. Resize the image to fit the Wii.
Upload and add images to every available side of the console offered on the website. Order the skin when complete.
Peel the backing off of each piece of the Wii skin and affix it onto your console. The skin will not cover any vents, buttons or joints of the console.
Printable Skins
Save images onto your computer to use for the custom skin.
Open a drawing program such as MS Paint or Paintbrush. Start a new document with the dimensions of 8.48-by-6.18 inches. These are the dimensions of the two large faces of the Wii.
Add the saved images into the document. Resize and rearrange them to fill the document.
Print the document out onto sticker paper. Cut any excess paper around the image. Peel the sticker from the backing and apply it to one face of your Wii.
Create another image and print it out to apply to the other side of the Wii.
Collage Skin
Cut out pictures from magazines, print pictures out from your computer or use photographs that you have taken.
Arrange the pictures on the front side of your Wii. Make sure the pictures do not cover any vents, slots, or buttons on the console.
Cut out a 8.48-by-6.18-inch square from a sheet of contact paper.
Peel the back off the contact paper. Lay the paper, adhesive side down, over the pictures on the Wii. Start laying the contact paper in the bottom left corner and work your way up to the top right corner.
Smooth the contact paper out to remove any air pockets. The contact paper will hold the pictures on the Wii in a photo collage skin. Repeat on the other side of the Wii.
