Wired Connection
Turn the Wii console off.
Connect the Wii LAN Adapter to the Wii by connecting the USB plug on the Wii LAN Adapter into one of the two USB ports on the back of the Wii console.
Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of the Wii LAN Adapter and connect the other end into one of the numbered Ethernet ports on the back of the 2Wire Wireless router. Do not use the port labeled LAN if present on the 2Wire router; this port will not work when connected to a Wii.
Turn on the Nintendo Wii.
Navigate to the Wii Main Menu by clicking on the Wii icon in the bottom left of the screen and select “Wii Settings” on the following screen.
Select “Internet," then “Connection Settings” when presented with the main menu.
Select "Connection 1” from the three connections slots on the next screen.
Select wired connection.
Wait while the Wii performs a quick connection test and checks to see if there are any software updates. Once these updates finish, the Wii is connected.
Wireless Connection
Navigate to the Wii Main Menu by clicking on the Wii icon in the bottom left of the screen and select “Wii Settings” on the following screen.
Select “Internet," then “Connection Settings” when presented with the main menu.
Select "Connection 1” from the three slots for connections on the next screen.
Select wireless connection.
Select “Search For An Access Point” unless the 2Wire router is configured to not broadcast its SSID. If this is the case, select the manual option and enter the router information in the following screens.
Select the name of the 2Wire Router’s SSID to which you wish to connect after the Wii has finished searching for wireless networks.
Enter the encryption key and select “OK” if the 2Wire Wireless router has encryption turned on. If the 2Wire Wireless router does not use encryption skip this step. If you don&'t know the encryption key, you can find it by accessing the 2Wire Wireless router’s settings (see Resources).
Wait while the Wii performs a quick connection check and looks for software updates.
When the Wii finishes, the connection between the Wii and the 2Wire Wireless router is complete.
