How Do You Get Friends on Wii?

If your Nintendo Wii is connected to the Internet, you can add friends that also have a Wii, to your Wii friend list. Doing so will allow you to chat with them, trade photos and play multiplayer games (in games that support online multiplayer). Anyone you add must add you as well using your Wii Friend Code. The Wii Friend Code is the unique number used to identify your Wii.

Instructions

  Start the Nintendo Wii. From the Wii Channel Menu, select the "Mail" icon from the bottom right. This will open the Wii Message Board. Choose "Address Book." Click on the arrow on the left side of the screen. This will open page one of the Wii Address Book, where your Wii Friend Code will be displayed.

  Select the arrow on the right side of the screen to return to the Wii Address Book home.

  Choose "Register," then "Wii." Enter a nickname and your friend&'s Wii Friend Code. To complete the process, tell your friend to do the same.
