Check all connections. If no light comes on when you power on the Wii, or the light does not turn green, check both the power cables as well as the A/V cables. If you are using component cables (as opposed to composite cables), make sure they are plugged into the correct ports on your high-definition television.
Synchronize your Wii Remotes again. If you can&'t get your on-screen cursor to move, your controller might have fallen out of sync with the console. To re-sync, remove the battery cover on your Wii Remote and press the red "Sync" button (while the Wii is turned on). After the lights on the Wii Remote begin to flash, open the flap on the front of the console and press the red "Sync" button. When the controller has been synced, a single, steady light will be illuminated at the bottom of the Wii Remote.
Reposition your sensor bar. If your sensor bar is not in the exact center of your TV or is tilting to one side, it will throw off the Wii&'s calibration. Also make sure that your Wii&'s settings reflect whether the Sensor Bar is above or below the TV.
Reset the aspect ratio. If the picture seems stretched or squished, you may have the wrong aspect ratio set up for your TV. Go to the "Settings" menu and then select either "16:9: for a widescreen display or "4:3" for a standard definition TV.
