Things You'll Need
Instructions
Determine how you want to position your Wii. You can stand it up vertically using the Wii stand and stand plate or you can lay the console out flat, horizontally. According to Nintendo, the orientation you decide should allow "enough room for the Wii&'s internal fan to keep the system cool." If you decide to place Wii vertically, insert the clear plastic stand plate&'s prongs into the console stand&'s underside, then slide it firmly until you hear the stand plate snap into place. Then place the console straight into the console stand. Should you choose to lay the console out flat, simply place it in the location you desire.
Plug the DC end of the AC adapter into the DC connector on the back of your Wii, then insert the AC plug into a 120V AC wall outlet.
Place the sensor bar either above or below your TV and plug the sensor bar connector into the back of your Wii. Line up the center of the sensor bar with the center of the TV so it will be in the best position to receive signals from the Wii remote.
Plug the AV multi-out plug on the AV cable into the multi-out connector on the back of the Wii. Insert the RCA plugs on the AV cable into the input connectors on your TV. Yellow is video, white is the left audio input (or mono) and red is the right audio input.
Turn on your Wii. Power on your TV and find the proper input channel by pressing the appropriate button on your TV or remote. This button is often marked "Input" or "TV/Video" or something similar. Keep pressing the button until you find the Wii display on your screen.
Locate the battery bay on the back side of your Wii remote. Remove the cover. Insert two AA batteries into the bay and replace the cover.
Sync your Wii and remote. The console sync button is located beneath the SD card slot cover on the front of the Wii. You&'ll find the remote sync button inside the battery bay. Press and release the sync button on the console, then press and release the sync button on your remote. The LED light on the remote will stop blinking when syncing is complete.
