How to Backup Wii Games on a Mac

Wii games can be pricey. Backing up your Wii games to your Mac can save you lots of money in replacement and repair fees, should your Wii games become broken or scratched. This process requires your Mac to have a DVD copy program installed, such as Mac the Ripper, a free DVD copy program. Backing up your Wii games on your Mac will likely take you less than an hour.

Instructions

  Open the DVD copy program on your Mac by double clicking on the program&'s icon.

  Open the disc tray on your Mac by pressing the "Eject" key on the keyboard. Place the Wii game disc into the disc tray and press the "Eject" key on the keyboard again to close the tray.

  Hover your cursor over "Devices" or "Drive" from the toolbar of the DVD copy program&'s opening screen. Then, click on "DVD drive" from the drop-down bar that appears.

  Hover your cursor over "File" and click on "Save To" from the drop-down bar that appears. Click on "Desktop" from the windows that appears. When another window appears, click the "Open" button.

  Hover your cursor over "Mode" on the program&'s toolbar. Click on "Full" or "Extract All" from the drop-down menu that appears.

  Hover your cursor over "Type" on the program&'s toolbar and click on "ISO" from the drop-down bar that appears.

  Hover your cursor over "Region" on the program&'s toolbar. Click "O" or "Off" from the drop-down bar that appears.

  Click "Start" or "Go" on the program&'s main screen. Don&'t do anything else until the progress bar reaches 100% and a confirmation window appears, stating that the copy has been made. This may take several minutes. Once the confirmation window appears, you have successfully backed up your Wii game to your Mac.
