Things You'll Need
Instructions
Plug the Wii into the electrical outlet. On the back of the Wii is an area labeled "DC Input Connector"; place the other end of the power cord there.
Plug the sensor bar into the back of the Wii. The plug-in looks like a small hole and is labeled "Sensor bar." Place the other end, the sensor bar, on top of your television or in an open space below it. Make sure the sensor bar is unobstructed. The sensor bar reads the signals from the Wii Remote and sends it to the console, and vice versa.
Connect the AV multicolored plugs to the back of your Wii console. The AV plugs are color-coordinated. Match the color to those on the back of the Wii console and those on your television. On your television the multicolored plugs will go in the "Input" section.
Power on the Wii console and adjust your television set's "TV/Video" options until you see the Wii's setup page.
Follow all on-screen prompts to set up your Wii. You will synchronize your remotes and choose whether you want to connect to the Internet. Additional hardware is needed to connect to the Internet using your Wii.
