Things You'll Need
Instructions
Make sure that your Wii is positioned right-side up. According to Nintendo.com, "the game disc slot should be above all three buttons and the SD Card slot."
Confirm you are loading the game into the Wii properly. According to Nintendo.com, if your console is stacked vertically, the label of the game disc will face to the right. If your Wii is horizontal, the game disc label will face upward.
Clean your game disc. As stated by Nintendo.com, "Dampen a portion of a clean, soft, cotton cloth, using only plain water." Wipe the bottom of the disc from the inside of the rim to the outside of the rim using straight strokes. Repeat this process using the dry portion of the cloth to remove all the water. Ensure that the disc is dry by letting the game sit for two minutes before inserting it back into the Wii.
Check Nintendo.com's List of Specific Game Issues. There are a number of titles with known issues--the problem might be with the game itself.
Contact Nintendo. If you are still experiencing trouble, chances are your console needs repairing.
