How to Burn Wii Games for a Modded System

A Wii game disc, like any optical disc, can be scratched or broken and rendered unplayable. Burning a copy of a Wii game onto a DVD disc protects the original from being harmed. You can burn a Wii game that you legally own on a PC using a DVD burning program. You don't need expertise in video formats.

Instructions

  Download an ISO disc burning program to the computer's desktop. Try the free ImgBurn program. Double-click on the file once it has downloaded. Follow the menu commands to install the program onto the computer's hard drive. Restart the PC after the installation is complete.

  Double-click on the ISO disc burning program's icon to launch it. Click on the "Add File" or "+" icon at the top of the ISO disc burning program's main screen. Navigate in the window that appears to the ISO file that was made of the Wii game disc. Click on the ISO file. Click on the window's "Open" button.

  Select the DVD drive from the "Devices" drop-down menu on the ISO disc burning program's main screen.

  Press the "Eject" key on the front of the computer to eject the DVD drive's disc tray. Put a blank recordable DVD onto the disc tray. Press the "Eject" key to close the disc tray.

  Click on the "Options" icon at the top of the ISO disc burning program's main screen. Select "4X" from the "DVD Speed" drop-down menu on the new screen that appears. Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the screen. Click the "OK" button to close the window.

  Click the "Burn" button at the bottom of the ISO burning program's main screen. Wait as a progress bar details the percentage of the burning process from "0" to "100."

  Quit the ISO disc burning program after the progress bar disappears. Press the "Eject" button on the front of the computer to eject the disc tray. Remove the DVD. Press the "Eject" button to close the disc tray.
