How to Put a Game Disc in the Wii

The Nintendo Wii is a game console that can be used to play both GameCube and Wii games. In order to play any GameCube or Wii game using the Wii gaming system, you must first insert the game disc into the Nintendo Wii. If you have never owned a gaming system that uses discs, you may not be sure how to place the disc into the system. Putting a game disc into a Nintendo Wii isn't much different than inserting a disc into a vehicle CD player.

  Turn you television set on.

  Turn the Wii or GameCube disc so that the disc's front (the part with the game name on it) is facing the top part of the Wii. For example, if you Wii is placed horizontally on a shelf, the game disc will face upward.

  Insert the game disc slowly into the disc slot located on the front, or "face," of the Wii. The console accepts the disc and the disc slides into the Wii. The Wii turns on automatically, and the Channel Menu screen appears.
