How to Create a Mii Avatar

The Wii gaming console allows you to create your own avatar called a Mii. A Wii player can customize his Mii to look like him, and then use his Mii in compatible games. A Mii player can also customize his avatar to look like a celebrity or musician. You can edit your Mii in the Mii plaza, and your Mii can also mingle with other players.

  Turn on your Nintendo Wii. Access the Mii channel from the Wii Menu. Point the Wii Remote at the TV. Once you place the cursor over the Mii channel, press "A."

  Point the Wii Remote at the plus sign on the left side of the Mii Plaza, and then press "A." This will allow you to create a new Mii.

  Select a gender for your Mii. Choose whether you want your Mii to be female or male.

  Select a lookalike Mii or make one from scratch. A lookalike Mii is a Mii avatar already created for you to use. If you want to customize your own, then select "Start from scratch."

  Choose a head shape for your Mii. Once you choose a head shape, you will then need to select a skin color.

  Adjust the features of the Mii by selecting the tabs at the top of the screen. You can adjust the weight, height, facial hair, eyes, nose and other personal features of your Mii. Each tab allows you to change different features of your avatar.

  Select the first tab on the screen. Type in a nickname for your Mii avatar, and mark it as your favorite if you prefer to use this Mii. Select a birthday and your favorite color. The virtual keyboard will allow you to enter this information.

  Point at the "Quit" button with the Wii Remote on the bottom of the screen. Press "A" to exit the Mii plaza.

  Select "Save and Quit" and then your Mii will appear on the main Mii screen.
