Things You'll Need
Instructions
Come up with a business plan. Decide what game you want to port to the Wii. Obtain the licensing rights to the game or work with the company and split the profits.
Pay for a staff and to rent an office. You could try going to a bank to receive a small-business loan.
Buy the Wii development kit. This kit is where all Wii games are programmed. If the game works inside of this system, then it will work on a Wii console.
Advertise for a computer programmer with video game coding experience. Put ads in video game magazines and on the Internet.
Convert the PC game code to the development kit. Some of the code will most likely need to be rewritten, while others barely need any conversion. Give as much time as possible to your programmer(s) to make a perfect port of the game.
Add Wiimote and controller controls. Make sure the game will use the Wiimote's wireless movement system. For instance, if you are porting a racing game, then allow the Wiimote to act as a steering wheel by turning it on its side.
Send the game to Nintendo to receive official Nintendo support. Your game cannot be published until it is officially licensed by the company.
Produce the game. Send copies to gaming magazines like Game Informer and Game Pro and websites like IGN and 1up.
