How to Get Points on a Wii Points Card

Wii Points (sometimes referred to as "Nintendo Points") are the digital currency used by gamers to purchase items on the Nintendo Wii game console. Wii Points are sold on cards at retail stores and the points on them can only be used if they are redeemed on a Wii console. Wii points can also be purchased directly on your Wii with a credit card on the Wii Shop Channel.

  Click on the "Wii Shop" channel on the Wii's main menu.

  Press the "Start Shopping" button.

  Select the "Add Wii Points" option.

  Pick the "Redeem Nintendo Points Card" option.

  Scratch off the silver band on the back of the Wii Points card--this will reveal an activation number.

  Enter the activation number into the space on the screen.

  Press the "OK" button and then press the "Redeem" button. This will immediately get the points on the Wii Points card onto your Wii system.
