Insert the Wii memory card to the slot on the memory card reader. Plug the memory card reader's USB cable into a USB port on the computer. Wait for the Wii memory card's icon to appear on the desktop.
Download a Wii Channel creator to the desktop of the PC, such as the free WADder program (see the link in Resources). Double-click on the file once it has downloaded to decompress it to the destkop.

Double-click on the Wii Channel creator's icon to launch it. Type a name in the "Channel name" column in the window that appears. Click the "Browse" button next to the "DOL File" tab. Navigate to the Wii "homebrew" file in the window that appears. Click once on the Wii "homebrew" file. Click the "Open" button.
Click on the "Browse" button next to the "Banner image" tab. Navigate to the banner file that was created earlier in the window that appears. Click once on the banner file. Click the "Open" button.
Click on the "Browse" button next to the "Icon image" tab. Navigate to the icon file that was created earlier in the window that appears. Click once on the icon file. Click the "Open" button.
Click on the "Icon Logo" button next to the "Icon image" tab. Navigate to the logo file that was created earlier in the window that appears. Click once on the logo file. Click the "Open" button.
Click on the "Set sound silent" button at the bottom left of the Wii Channel creator program. Check the "Disable splash screen" check box.
Click on the "Create WAD!" button at the bottom of the Wii Channel creator program. Wait as a window appears with text scrolling down and then disappears. Name the Wii Channel file in the "Name" column of the window that appears. Click the "OK" button. Wait as a window appears with text scrolling down, disappears and then reappears a number of times.
Click on the "MyComputer" icon in the window that appears. Click on the icon of the Wii memory card that is on the left side of the window. Click the "Save" button on the window to save the Wii Channel that has been created to the Wii memory card.
Quit the Wii Channel creator program. Right-click on the icon of the Wii memory card. Select "Eject" from the pop-up menu. Remove the Wii memory card from the memory card slot. Remove the USB plug of the memory card from the USB port of the computer.
Insert the Wii memory card to the Wii's memory card slot. Turn on the Wii. Select the "Homebrew channel" from the Home menu. Click the "Start" button in the window that appears.
Click on the "Add Channel" button from the list of choices presented in the new screen that appears. Click on the name of the Wii Channel that was created from the list presented in a new screen. Press the "A" button on the Wii controller.
Wait as the Wii Channel is added to the Home menu. Navigate back to the Home menu once the confirmation screen appears. The Wii Channel you created is now in the Wii's Home menu.
