Creating Your Mii
Once your Wii is all plugged in, booted up, and ready to go, navigate to the Mii channel and click "Start."
Along the left-hand side of your screen, choose the "New Mii" icon. It appears as a smiley face with a + sign next to it. Then choose whether you'd like a male or female Mii.
You are prompted to choose between "Start from scratch" or "Choose a look-alike." Starting from scratch is literally starting from scratch. You will get to choose everything from hair color to head size and shape. If you choose a look-alike, you will start off with a basic Mii and be able to change features from there.
Regardless of which option you choose in the above step, you can now fine-tune your Mii. There are nine different icons along the top of your screen. Within each of those icons are various choices to adjust your Mii. Click on the first icon to give your Mii a name, shirt color and the ability to mingle. Continue along the top row of icons fine-tuning your Mii.
Once you are satisfied with the appearance of your Mii, click the "Quit" button under your Mii. You are prompted to "Save &Quit," "Quit without Saving" or "Cancel." If you were just playing around and don't want to save your Mii, choose "Quit without saving." If you are still working on your Mii, choose "Cancel" to go back to the adjusting screens. If, however, you are finished with your Mii and want to keep it, choose "Save &Quit."
