How to Setup My Wii on My Router

The Nintendo Wii supports a Wi-Fi Internet connection out of the box. In order to connect to a wired connection, however, you need a Nintendo Wii LAN Adapter. After connecting your Wii to the Internet, you will have access to the Wii's online features, including the Forecast Channel, Wiiware and Virtual Console stores, and multiplayer games.

Connect your Nintendo Wii LAN Adapter to a USB port on the back of your Wii. If you are using a wireless connection, skip to step three.
